At GloverPriest, we are proud that we have a reputation of being extremely thorough. Our clients know that we will take the time to explain just how things will work and what the process entails. We work with our clients to ensure that we have covered all of the basics and go into further detail where appropriate. That’s so important when dealing with matters of Probate.
In England and Wales, Probate is the word that is normally used to describe the legal and financial processes involved in dealing with the assets (property, money and possessions) of a person who has died. Like most legal areas, Probate comes at a testing and sad time; a time when our much-appreciated openness and transparency really is needed. That’s why our fees are based on both a fixed and variable rate basis, and why you’ll get our expertise every step along the way.
If there are any additional fees, then examples of these and/or disbursements (payments which we pay to third parties on your behalf as part of the process) are outlined below.
For non-taxable estates of up to £325000
|Where Executors provide figures||£750
|Where we obtain figures||£950
|Court Fee (Per Application)||£155
The above figures are based on the following assumptions:
These fees are for obtaining the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration only. The full administration is charged at the legal advisor’s hourly rate or at a pre-agreed fixed-fee.
An additional fee of £155.00 will be required upon making the application for the grant of probate.
The length of legal issues can vary from start to finish and often depends on the exact stage at which the legal process is resolved. Accurate timescales can be given after initial consultations have taken place.
This website provides examples of the average costs and fees involved with these types of legal matters. But each client has their own set of circumstances and so there will be occasions when exceptional circumstances add to the complexity and time taken to reach a conclusion. We will always keep you fully informed of any change in costs and circumstances and explain why, too. In these situations, our fees may exceed those quoted above, but we will notify you in advance if we need to exceed an original estimate.
